Why? because we have great talents and we deserve to be heard and be given a chance to be up there, being on stage being on international television. It is not that we have been lacking of talents, but the lacking of support. I personally think that Malaysians should really expose themselves to local music. Being in a musician like myself its hard to be up there when there is lack of support from our very own people. BUT... lately I've noticed that young listeners have caught their attention to local bands, started to open their ears to give us a listening chance. Which I is really supportive for local bands. that would really strive them to make and to produce more good yet quality music.

Rockaway Festival ! is a music festival which features local acts every year. Festivals like this would really give exposure to the bands which are yet to be known, which have potential in bringing their music up to international level.
This is my top 25 bands in Malaysia, which i think who really made an impact and in fact a few of them have went up to international stage! I can see that local supporters are keen to support our local music as it has quality and also have managed to steal our hearts by their hard work of putting beats and strumming of music into a well made piece of ear catching music.
Our Local Voice

Malaysia is a country which is full with natural talents which amazes me that our local scene has been improving a lot with quality music and also support. Recently I went to a gig which this band from Indonesia performed. Superman is Dead also known as SID, performed in MCPA hall on the 29th of October along side with a local band called The Jespers. The band started out on the 9th of December 2009, created by the lead vocals of the band - Nashriq Ismail Sabri. A very promising punk rock band which suits every listeners and yes, they're one of the upcoming Malaysian bands who will shine in our local scene.

Well I personally went for their gig, and it was really crowd warming as the opening band was my friends and yes to our Malaysians! The crowd went wild and had so much fun singing along to their songs.
